The Coastal Sounds Community Choir, conducted by Andrew Cranston and accompanied by Beth Cranston, was originally created in January 2007 as a project of The Music Corner in Manuels.  In 2011, the choir branched off as its own non-profit community organization, ran by an elected Executive Committee. Membership began with just eight brave members but has now grown to more than 60 strong and continues to grow each year. The choir is comprised mainly, but not exclusively, of members living in the Conception Bay South area and all come from different musical backgrounds and experiences.

The Coastal Sounds Community Choir has performed at a number of different venues, including local churches and special events in Conception Bay South, the Kiwanis and Rotary Music Festivals in St. John’s, as well as DF Cook Hall at Memorial University. The choir invites new members to join in September and January. No prior singing experience is necessary and all people enthusiastic about singing and who are willing to learn are welcome to join.

Rehearsals are currently held on Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at Holy Spirit High School in Manuels, CBS.
